Dr. Candy Stables D.V.M.

Dr. Candy Stables was born a “city kid” in Edmonton, AB. She took her pre-vet training at the University of Alberta and graduated with a Bachelor of Agriculture degree in Environmental Sciences in 1995. She went on to complete her education at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. After earning her DVM degree in 1999, Dr. Stables moved to Brooks, Alberta and started her first job at Bow Valley Veterinary Clinic in May of 1999. She has been at Bow Valley ever since! Her husband, Dr. Rob Stables joined the practice in June of 2004. Together they bought the clinic from Dr. Doug Evan later that year in September. The Stables then sold the livestock portion of the practice to Dr. Balog in March 2016, and then the companion animal and equine side of the practice to Dr. Balog in November 2019. Although no longer the clinic owner, Dr. Candy Stables still enjoys small animal and equine cases. She prides herself on exceptional patient care and excellent client service.
